Drawn to Nature - Petra Meer

"Drawn to Nature' is a display of the species illustrations and habitat roughs behind the making of Petra's detailed Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve colouring book. It also showcases several of her commissioned natural history illustrations alongside a daily changing display of her nature-focused journal entries.

Petra's journals have been created over many years and have been inspired by wild habitats, both large and small. The exhibition includes hand made books with inspiring drawings, paintings & writings. These are a living reminder of the wellbeing and creativity that occurs when we pause to connect with the natural world around us.

Colouring books, cards and creations will be available for purchase at the exhibition. Come along to meet Petra and be inspired by the beauty of the reserve.

Free entry.

Before visiting please consider Queensland Covid-19 restrictions.

The exhibition is open daily from Wednesday 15 December through until Thursday 23 December, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.

You'll find Drawn to Nature upstairs in the Theatrette of the Rainforest Discovery Centre at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, 148 Mountian View Road, Maleny 4552
