JOIN the GREAT AUSSIE FUNGI HUNT 2025

Explore the world around you, find fungi, win prizes and contribute to our knowledge of fungi in Australia by uploading your photos and observations to iNaturalist.

Starts 1st April 2025.

Last year over 7000 records were uploaded to our national fungi bioblitz by nearly 2000 citizen scientists just like you. This year we are hoping to do better. There will be prizes for the Most Research Grade Finds (young and old) and the most Exciting or Rarest find.

You can also add your observations to the Fungimap Australia project and include further information on substrate etc.
