A 'hands on' practical workshop introducing you to the joys of small space worm farm composting from local expert, Simon Rixon from Maroochy Urban Farm.

Learn all about the alchemy of worm farming and how to create your very own 'black gold' fertiliser from food scraps. Worm farms are a low-cost and efficient way to cycle nutrients from your waste to your small-space gardens.

Discover the wonderful world of worms, learn tips and tricks to keep your worm farm functional and healthy and make your own tiny worm farm to take home.

Our Living Lab workshops are especially designed for people living in units, townhouses and apartments with balconies or courtyards available for small space, urban gardening.

Come get your hands dirty in the Maroochydore City Centre, meet new people and learn new skills.

Limited tickets available. Recommended ages 15+.

Registration from 9am with workshop starting at 9.30am.

A delicious morning tea made from local produce is included in the ticket price.
